Glenmorangie's water source is the Tarlogie Springs, situated in the Tarlogie Hills above the distillery. Barley grain is supplied by Highland Grain Ltd, a cooperative of farmers in the area. The stills used, the tallest in Scotland at 26 feet tall, with 10 feet necks, are claimed by the company to produce an extremely light taste.


House style: Creamy, leafy. 

Tasting Notes

Taster: Michael Jackson

Nose: Rich fruit, honey, orange marmalade, maple, sherry, sweet oak, spice.


Palate: Fruit and lively spice, with dark chocolate, vanilla, and a hint of leather.


Finish: Medium in length. Vanilla and ginger.


Produced using a portion of “chocolate malt,” this expression comprises whiskies that have been matured in a variety of cask types and aged for up to 35 years.
